Ten free agents to be signed this January and beyond

Everyone loves a bargain, especially here at the Football Transfer Tavern. With the January transfer window upon us, we can expect plenty of clubs to be splashing out on big money signings.

But for those without the funds available, the January transfer window can prove a laborious period whereby fans often feel left out amidst the frantic flurry for talent. Fear not; there are definitely a few bargains to be had in the form of free agents who have yet to find a new employer.

Indeed, Michael Owen and Emile Heskey’s whereabouts were left under wraps until they joined Stoke City and Newcastle United Jets late on in the summer as free agents and the list this January is equally capable in terms of experience and familiarity with top division football.
