Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson often gets it right in the transfer market with the likes of Nemanja Vidic, Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney the current obvious players that have massively improved the Untied side since their respective arrivals.
However, not every manager can always get it right when it comes to incomings and Fergie is no exception. Whether it is a talented youngster who has not fulfilled his potential or an experienced pro that can’t quite cut it at the top, Fergie has had his fair share of transfer mishaps.
Fortunately for the long serving Manchester United manager, the Red Devils academy is continuously producing top talent with the likes of Danny Welbeck proving last week that he has it in him to be a top player for the club.
Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes are still going strong in their old age but the duo will have seen their fair share of transfer blunders occur in their 20 or so years at the club under Ferguson.
Ferguson doesn’t often get the expensive signings wrong but his scouting network has plenty of questions to answer in regards to the following ten players that have arrived at Manchester United and simply not made the grade.
