Midfielder launches scathing attack on West Ham
The Frenchman has launched a foul mouthed attack on the East London club after giving an interview with L’Equipe and has claimed: “The speeches were so positive, I was told that I was a priority for the manager.”
Whilst this may sound like something all footballers who were out of favour may utter he followed it up by claiming: “After a few weeks, I realised that there were a lot of lies. This agent has fooled me. Some people have made money on my back. Admittedly, I have a three-year contract but I’m not unhappy financially, but I came to play, not to take an early retirement. I am positively at breaking point.”
News of such discomfort may shock fans of Sam Allardyce who is regarded as a man motivator, yet Diarra claims he has little to no relationship with the manager and essentially sees no future for himself at the Hammers.
Of course he is on more than a decent wage packet and will not leave the club unless an offer comes in that does not leave him out of pocket or uproot his family too much.
Diarra moved to Upton Park from Marseille in the summer, and the French international has also played for Lyon and Bordeaux. He had a previous negative experience in England after joining Liverpool in 2002 but never made an impression on the first team.
