The goalscorer is Boca Juniors and Argentina striker Martin Palermo. Palermo is in something of a rich vein of form at the moment. Diego Maradona must be hoping it is the prodigious striker, who has already netted over 220 career goals in a career that has taken him to Spain as well as his native Argentina, that turns up to play against Uruguay on Wednesday night, rather than the errant spot kick taker. Argentina’s world cup future may well boil down to how well Palermo can finish in front of goal.
One just hopes that Dennis Wise hasn’t seen the video, otherwise he may well be advising some poor sap of a manager to take a chance on the 36 year old.
