Arsenal & Liverpool Racing For €10M Hot Shot Import

Many moons ago, well, 2001 in fact, Arsene Wenger, who once managed in Japan with the brilliantly named Nagoya Grampus Eight, took Junichi Inamoto to Highbury in a transfer many thought was a cynical move made for commercial, as opposed to footballing, reasons.  Either way, Inamoto went on to relative success with Fulham and West [...]

5 Things That Really Suck About Modern Day Football

We all get annoyed about certain things in football, from the myopia of the linesman to the tight-fisted penny-pinching of the chairman, there’s always something that grinds our gears. For all the joy the game can provide, there is at least as much vexatious rubbish to create an internal rage, thus balancing our pleasure and [...]

Tottenham & Newcastle Making Enquiries For World Cup Winner

A winner is on his way to the premier league! It’s and who are in the hunt for him and if you’re racking your brain as to who it is, the player didn’t play for .

In fact he helped win the World Cup back in 2006. is the man, he now plays his trade in Germany for who are finding life tough this season in the .

He had 8 very successful years at Juventus an he was Italy’s first choice right midfielder for some time achieving 55 caps and scoring five goals.

Now at 34 years-old he’s coming to the end of his career, he’s a player who’s renowned for his ability to beat a player and now he seems to have lost his spark. So why do these two premier league sides want him?…………………………………I haven’t a clue to be honest.

Tottenham have and co to play out on the right and Newcastle have Wayne Routledge, and  has been playing there. Also young can when he’s back to full fitness. Maybe both teams could do with a right midfielder but Camoranesi has clearly not hit it off in Germany and that’s a fact.

The pace of the premier league as  differs from the Bundesliga and most definitely the way the game is played in Italy. This possible transfer shocks me as I feel he’s better off playing at a lower Italian club where he can finish his career.

I’m not doubting what a quality player Camoranesi was but he is a ‘has been’ and if either club does sign him I’m sure there will be a lot of unhappy fans.

Dalglish Close To Bringing Dutch Superstar To Anfield

has found the man to bring success back to .

He captained to the final in 2010 and he looks to be the ideal replacement for who left in the Summer.

is of course the player I’m talking about. He has probably more experience at playing in the big games than any other player around. He’s a natural born leader who holds the midfield together. His presence will allow to go and express himself and play further up the pitch too.

tried bringing Christian Poulsen in to play that role but he’s been a major flop and players like Lucas just aren’t up to it.

Van Bommel may be getting on now at the age of 33 but you cannot question his ability and desire to win football matches. That is something Liverpool are so desperate for right now. They can ill afford to look at Gerrard and to bail them out all the time as it’s impossible.

They need several players to come into the team but if you have , Van Bommel, Raul Meireles, Gerrard, Torres and a top class centre back in your team, that is a terrific spine, as good as any team around.

The man currently playing at Bayern Munich could be the start of a Liverpool revival but I stress it will just be the start as they clearly have problems which ‘King Kenny’ is currently looking to address.

Liverpool Desperate To Close The Deal At £18M

Reports coming from Amsterdam are suggesting that Liverpool are on the verge of securing the signature of Uruguayan World Cup star Luis Suarez for a fee of around £18million. Cash strapped Ajax are said to want £26million for their talismanic striker, but may be forced to sell below their asking price as the 23-year-old is [...]

Fergie & Arsene Lead The Charge For £25M ‘Spanish Gary Neville’

What is happening at Real Madrid?  Not only has Jose Mourinho fallen out with Sporting Director , but now after months of feuding with , and after negotiations over a new contract have stalled, it appears that Sergio Ramos is ready to quit the Bernabeu.  And both and will be delighted to hear the news that Ramos may want to come to the .

Ramos, rapidly becoming ‘Mr. Madrid’ after six seasons with Real, and being one of the few members of the Spanish winning team to represent a Real Madrid contingent and play alongside many icons, looks to be on his way out of the Spanish capital.  Reports have emerged that Ramos has grown tired of Ronaldo’s antics (what could he have possibly done to make him want to quit Real, used all the hair gel in the Bernabeu changing rooms??) and that Ramos is unhappy with the club’s management over their lack of backing for the their own stalwart and their offers of a new contract.

Arguably the best right back in the world, and having won both the World Cup and – where he was a key part of a stingy defence and a brand of attacking football not seen anywhere before – Ramos would be a massive coup for any club, but particularly for a Premiership outfit with designs on winning the title and the .  He can get up and down, score goals and create and has defensive attributes that not many others have, and is apparently up for grabs for only £25 million.

needs a long-term successor to Gary Neville (who would be better?), but Wenger also needs an experienced, ball-playing defender who could equally star in the centre of his or any defence.

Only two questions remain: where will he end up?  And how much will he cost?

Evra’s Replacement Is A Whopping €30M Young Hotshot

of late have been facing a tough battle to keep hold of their best players, the latest being .

He has been linked with a move to these past two months and rumours in the camp suggest he is still unsettled. Sir Alex has been looking at possible replacements including Benfica’s Fabio Coentrao. Michel Bastos of Lyon is another target but the left back looks to be United’s number one target.

Coentrao had an excellent and he was one of the few impressive Portugese players. His form has not dropped since coming into the limelight and now he is hot property. He can play left wing as well which is an obvious plus for .

Is he as good as Evra? In my opinion he’s not, solely because Evra is a fantastic defender, a better one than the Benfica man and he’s also quality going forward. He and are the top two left backs in world football but Coentrao is a terrific player who will make a very good replacement.

has been linked with all three players at Madrid this season as looks a bit suspect defensively so Coentrao is certainly expected to make a move to a big club in the near future.

Manchester United I’m sure we do everything in their power to keep Evra though, so their fans will no doubt be hoping Coentrao doesn’t sign in the window and their Frenchman stays on.

Liverpool Quoted £12.5M For Dutch Sensation: Comolli’s Vision Of The Future

have told to come up with a bid of at least £12.5m for long-term target, . The club are aware of Liverpool’s interest, and are keen to capitalize:

We do not loan players,” said Bastian Reinhardt, Hamburg’s sporting director. We would need at least €15m for Elia.”

23-year-old Elia’s performances since joining Hamburg in 2009 have seen him develop considerable renown in the Bundesliga, as well as earning him a place in the squad at last summer’s . Elia can be deployed either on the wing or as a , and Liverpool’s Director of Football, , is keen to bring the Dutch hotshot to .

But of course Liverpool already have a young Dutchman who can play up-front or out wide; has spent the majority of his time at the club trying, and failing, to convince a string of mangers that he is worthy of a first-team place. As it now seems that Kenny Dalglish is just as reluctant as his predecessors to give Babel that chance, the player may now have no choice but to seek a move elsewhere.

Hamburg’s Bundesliga rivals, , have been linked with a bid for Babel, yet Liverpool are keen to offer Babel to Hamburg as part of a swap deal to bring Elia to Anfield.

So Liverpool get their man without spending a fortune and get rid of Babel, who gets a chance to resurrect his career elsewhere, and Hamburg get a ready-made replacement for Elia, plus some extra cash to make up the difference.

So everybody wins. Except Hoffenheim.

Dalglish Will Bid £17M For Alvaro Negredo

Reports in have confirmed ’s interest in Sevilla , with the outfit preparing a bid of £17m.

Negredo has a buy-out clause in his contract of £70m, but Sevilla President, Jose Maria del Nido, has admitted that Liverpool’s potential offer would be enough to seal a switch this month.

Negredo is a former player, and Liverpool were thought to be interested in bringing him to Anfield as part of ’s in 2009. The striker has also attracted interest from Tottenham and Hull City in the past.

Yet Kenny Dalglish now looks to be on the brink of sealing a deal for Negredo, who he sees as the ideal striker partner for the misfiring Fernando Torres. Negredo is highly regarded in La Liga, and broke into the national side in 2009, yet he was not included in the squad which triumphed at last summer’s .

Although we shouldn’t judge him on this; Spain are so overloaded with talent at the moment that even Cesc Fabregas can’t get a game!

Liverpool are said to have made contact with Sevilla already, and hope to conclude the deal within a fortnight. This will almost certainly give ’s move to German side Hoffenheim the go-ahead, and NESV will hope to make around £5m from the sale, to soften the blow of Negredo’s transfer fee.
