Sky Sports believes the Yorkshire club are battling it out with Queens Park Rangers for striker Habib Habibou who currently plays for Belgian outfit Zulte Waregem.
The 25-year-old has admitted to being in talks with an English club, and has spent time training at both Leeds and QPR, reportedly catching the eye at both clubs.
Habibou is keen on a move to England, and is looking to test himself at the highest level possible. Whether Leeds can beat QPR to his signature will remain to be seen, but Neil Warnock will look to convince the African striker he would be joining a club on the up and one that can certainly challenge for a spot in the Championship play-off’s come the end of the regular season.
A January move remains unlikely, but a pre-contract agreement with either club could be signed during this window.
“I am talking with a club in England but nothing is decided yet,” said Habibou.
“I am still open to discussion.I would love to play in England and my first choice is to move to England.”
