This Aaron Ramsey To Fulham Rumour Is A Curious One

I was very shocked to find out that one of Fulham’s poster boys has decided to jump ship now that his contract has come to an end.
I am talking about the seemingly ageless Danny Murphy who has swapped the middle class Craven Cottage for the tops turvy roller coaster ride that is going on at Ewood Park.
Word on the street was that QPR made a late bid for the Premiership journey man but were unable to offer what Steve Kean could and so Murphy will be a Blackburn Rovers player next season. If you thought that was strange then you should see who The Daily Mail think Fulham are lining up for a replacement.
Wales captain Aaron Ramsey!
Reports are saying that even though Ramsey is settled at Arsenal he may be forced to leave due to some imminent transfers for example the much talked about Yann M’Villa but it seems that they are jumping the gun a little bit.
Arsenal haven’t actually signed another midfielder yet and even if all the rumours are true about M’Villa then surely the Brazilian Denilson would be the one Wenger lets go not the young and highly promising Welshmen.
Aside from a few shaky displays toward the end of last season Ramsey has returned from his horrendous injury at the hands – or should I say feet – of Ryan Shawcross with aplomb and was rewarded for his efforts by receiving the armband for his country when under the late great Gary Speed.
He shows maturity, patience on the ball and good passing. All attributes that Arsene Wenger believes to be essential for any holding midfielder so why on earth he would be considering selling him to a fellow London club is beyond me.
Stranger things have happened however and although I think due to Ramsey’s age he won’t be let go by Wenger I think that, as a replacement for Murphy, Ramsey would be great. Right now he is a squad player for a team that is used to playing in all the major competitions and may benefit from being made the dictator of midfield.
He would bring a new injection of energy and vision to this Fulham side that is trying to be reinvented by Martin Jol. Jol has made the clever decision that in order to bring the club forward he must move away from the blueprint of Roy Hodgson and apply his own philosophy on the club. This has been shown by the new and exciting players Jol has brought in and helped to adapt to the rigours of the Premier League. Ramsey could be the marquee signing if somehow Jol could convince him to move.
A player like Ramsey and a strong centre forward that will get you goals are needed more than a new poultry free owner of Blackburn Rovers for Fulham next season. Without them they will certainly struggle to maintain a top half finish and a push for Europa League places.
The likeliness of Aaron Ramsey himself swapping the Emirates for Craven Cottage is about as likely as Mario Balotelli chucking his career as a footballer to go and live on an island somewhere and spend the rest of his days fishing in peace and serenity but then again Chelsea did sign Steve Sidwell.

There’s nothing to this rumor,Martin Jol can have Arshavin but Ramsey’s already coming good for us (second highest chance creator and best passer in the final third).

Yes we all know that ramsey had a broken leg thats why he needs to either go on loan and get himself ready to be arsenal chief passer or whatever. Wenger was playing ramsey ahead of rosicky even when rosicky was given a chance and he proved himsef the next game he will be on the bench. To my opinion sale ramsey to fulham, bring in m’villa, sign a right back and give yossi a two year deal. Thanks

I don’t know if you actually watch Arsenal games. Arsenal’s win percentage was below 40% when Ramsey started. The lad has lost all acceleration after his injury. He is never going to get that back.
Sorry to sound harsh but Arsenal are not a charity. Arsenal run a tight ship and cannot afford wages of £2m+ on a player who is never going to get better. Aaron needs a fresh start elsewhere to form a new role. Anyone who thinks that he is going to get picked ahead of Arteta/Rosicky/Wilshere/Song/Coqelin is nuts. Especially after his rotten performances the ENTIRE season.
Good luck to someone who had great potential but was cut down in his prime by the horrendous Shawcross.

i dont know if you watch arsenal games, but ramsey’s performances were not rotten the entire season. in fact at the beginning of the season, he was single handedly carrying the teams creativity from midfield. his goal against marseille, basically got us out of the champions league group. where was wilshire, rosicky, diaby, benayoun, when we needed them. either of form or injured. it was only when rosicky and benayoun started hitting form that ramsey tailed off, that and losing his footballing mentor gary speed in such tragic circumstances. i am not sure how some heartless bastards deal with the death of their friends, but still turning out week in week out and amounting a massive 44 appearances not so long after a career threatening injury, was a massive achievement. Also, Ramsey grabbed more goals, more assists than rosicky and created more goal scoring chances than anyone at the club. Remember creating chances is just as good as an assist, its just that with an assist the person with the chance actually takes it. When Ramsey gets the chance toplkay this season in his best position and shines bright, i hope the ramsey slaggers will eat massive chunks of humbloe pie and finally give support to such a young kid. honestly people slate him as though he has been around the team for years. in fact he is younger than the likes of eastmond, lansbury, gibbs, walcott, botelho, mannone, szcesney and vela. i wonder how many of them are even close to captaining their country?

A fan boy i assume lol… from where i came from the commentators lough theyre asses off when Ramsey does his usually stuff…just be honest man its bec he is Welsh u are speaking in such a good manner towards him if it would be lets say Chmakh u would care a damn about it…loan him out and let the kid earn his place at Arsenal i am feed up with the fuss about mediocre being good enough just look at all the dead wood at our club

Benayoun has proven that he still has a lot to offer. It would be a mistake not to sign him.

Lets be realistic here, anyone saying Ramsey was instrumental last season is a joker. We lost the Spurs first leg game due to his losing of possession consecutively. Rosicky was fit but yet Wenegr failed to use him. if Rosicky was given the chance from start of the season we would have competed for the trophy. Ramsey should go on loan period.

For me ramsey should be sold and get M’Villa, van der wel for us?

I have to agree with some of the comments. Ramsey had a rather awful season, looking worse and worse as time went on. He might have completed more passes in the final third and more scoring opportunities, but he started losing the ball too much, held up play with unnecessary dribbling and rarely gets back to do anything defensively. For a guy with a good shot, he put few of them on target and was too often sluggish. Early in the season, he looked great and that was probably where his stats were padded, but without Arteta we can\’t forget the dip in form that almost saw us blow third place (but for a few late goals including against West Ham, we would be in the Spurs malaise at present). All that said, I think we give him one more year to prove himself and then dump him if we doesn\’t improve. If nothing else, he can lead the charge in the Carling and FA Cups and hopefully help us win something … anything …. please.

Vela doesn’t want to come back. Anyway with any luck we should have Joel Campbell for the new season who’s looking more and more like a rough mold of the early Henry. Oh, and Song on the bench??? he had some of the most assists last year! without him we’d have been fucked. We dont need M’vila. Song first, Frimpong on the bench

the majority of posters here are phukin mugs who do not watch Arsenal and instead regurgitate offal being fed to them by morons. The only reason this 8ull5hit rumour of Ramsey to Fulham is ‘curious’ is because of dog turd websites like this passing off the brainless witterings of the p1ss addled UK media as content worthy of debate. Why not question why chimpanzee boy Bale has signed a new contract at spuds? Why not query why the footballing imbecile Henderson was a given a role over JOnes who has played in a variety of positions for Manure? Answers: Bale is going to be sold and an extension bumps up his value and his deal probably includes a cut of any transfer fee; Henderson spoons Stevie G and is the filling between Stevie and Terry.

I find obsession with Ramsey shortcomings a bit too much. The kid was off form but so were many and I see no one going on about it. I think we forget to see that when we are niot functioning as a team some people are made to carry a bigger responsibility which is unfair.
I love his spirit and that he work very hard and lay off him he has already come good. Scored a lovely equaliser against Spuds but we were done by luck strike by Walker and Czesny sleeping on duty. Czesny has a few boobs and yet no one mentions it. Is it because his are less than his compatriot?
