# 2 under-21 Tottenham players that fans should be keeping an eye on

**Life as a Tottenham supporter has been good lately! In recent seasons, the club have been going close to lifting the top trophy for the first time in the Premier League era.**

Indeed, our local Spurs fans here in the Transfer Tavern are discussing the next possible first-teamers to carry on the team building current boss Mauricio Pochettino is working on, with the Argentine boasting a great track record when working with youngsters.

Undoubtedly, Spurs will be looking at their young stars coming through the ranks to challenge for places this season and look to possibly help the team win a trophy.

The academy has recently brought through the likes of Harry Kane and Danny Rose, who are now first-team regulars as well as representing England. The option to delve into their impressive youth system to further strengthen the squad has paid off, in the wake of big spending by some of their title rivals.

Our punters mentioned a host of names that they feel could make the jump up in level but these two, in particular, have really caught the eye.

Even with being under twenty-one years of age, they’re making waves through the stands of the Tottenham faithful.

Here’s a closer look at them.

## Harry Winks

Having been dubbed ‘the little Iniesta’ Harry Winks made thirty-three appearances last season, mainly from the bench, but it was still enough for people to stand up and take notice.

After a freak injury against Burnley last season, Winks is finally pain-free and feels he is one hundred percent ready to kick on. While another Harry has made all the headlines in recent years, this one will be wanting to make some of his own.

Could be a shock inclusion in England’s World Cup squad.

## Juan Foyth

Not from the Tottenham’s academy, Foyth was signed this summer from Estudiantes’ youth system, the 19-year-old centre-back made his debut in the EFL cup victory against Barnsley.

Keeping a clean sheet and playing a full ninety minutes will do Foyth the world of good as he adjusts to the Premier League. He’ll be looking at fellow centre-back Jan Vertonghen for advice and guidance while his fledgeling Spurs career starts.
