# 4-2-3-1: Bilic’s West Ham XI to beat Middlesbrough on Saturday – Thoughts?

**West Ham are enduring a bit of a nightmare right now and their fans in the Transfer Tavern have all got pretty glum faces on.**

It was the same last weekend as they lost once again at their new stadium to Southampton 3-0 in a performance that was limp and lacklustre.

The Hammers players simply didn’t turn up again and if things continue like this they could be in real trouble.

They came into the season full of hope and expectation but that has all faded dramatically away, so it’s now up to Slaven Bilic and the players to get the fans back on side and generating a good atmosphere at their new ground.

Whether they can or not remains to be seen but they have a chance to against Middlesbrough on Saturday.

Our landlord remains optimistic about their chances for this one, too, and thinks this line-up will see them secure a much-needed three points…

### Adrian GK

Adrian looks like he’ll keep playing but needs to start improving.

### Alvaro Arbeloa RB

Arbeloa has good experience and needs to start helping the Hammers back line out.

### Winston Reid CB

The man from down under hasn’t really shown his best form yet but will still play here

### Angelo Ogbonna CB

![ogbonnaaaaa](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/ogbonnaaaaa.jpg?admin)

Ogbonna isn’t consistent but will probably play as the Hammers look to make a regular centre-half pairing.

### Havard Nordtveit LB

![Havard Nordtveit](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Havard-Nordtveit.jpg?admin)

Nordtveit will probably fill in again as the Hammers try and make something work.

### Mark Noble DM

The captain is far from impressed with what he’s seeing and will try to lead the charge at the weekend.

### Cheikhou Kouyate DM

![Kouyate](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Kouyate.jpg?admin)

The Hammers are missing this man’s drive in midfield so he needs to find it quickly and get them up the table.

### Dimitri Payet RAM

![payet](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Payet-1.jpg?admin)

Even Payet’s been quiet this season and needs to quickly show last season wasn’t a one-off.

### Jonathan Calleri CAM

Manuel Lanzini has been poor, so West Ham might as well roll the dice and play Calleri.

### Michail Antonio LAM

![michail-antonio-michail-antonio](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Michail-Antonio-Michail-Antonio-.jpg?admin)

Antonio has been the Hammers best player but they can’t keep relying on him.

He’s bound to play.

### Ashley Fletcher ST

It’s time for some youth and fearlessness in the Hammers side and that’s why Fletcher has to play.
