# 4-2-3-1: This Arsenal XI will smash Ludogorets on Wednesday night

***Arsenal are flying in their Champions League group and you’ve got a feeling a win against Ludogorets will seal their progress from the Group Stage, much to the joy of the Gunners in the Tavern.***

They host the Bulgarian giants at the Emirates on Wednesday knowing a win will put them on seven points from nine and pretty close to progressing.

It’s safe to say the Gunners fans here in the Tavern are fancying their chances against the group minnows and who can blame them? After a morale-boosting win against Swansea City this weekend, confidence should be sky high.

So with that in mind, how should Arsene Wenger be lining up at the Emirates? Should it be a full-strength lineup to get the job done or perhaps a chance to give fringe players an opportunity in a game they are expected to win regardless?

It’s a tough call but here’s our Arsenal XI that we think will smash Ludogorets on Wednesday evening…

## GK: Petr Cech

Pretty standard choice this we think – Peter Cech is Arsenal’s number one goalkeeper and he looks destined to start the game on Wednesday night.

He’s not expected to have the busiest of evenings.

## RB: Hector Bellerin

Speedy right-back Hector Bellerin will be tasked with job of putting the Lodogorets defence under pressure on Wednesday evening.

He’ll be going forward and trying to use his pace to make things happen.

## CB: Shkodran Mustafi

![shkodran-mustafid](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Shkodran-Mustafid-500x356.jpg)

Shkodran Mustafi has brought a real element of quality to Arsenal’s defence and he seems to have single-handedly solved the problem the Gunners have had with centre-backs in recent years.

The former Valencia man is solid and has formed quite the partnership with Laurent Koscielny.

## CB: Laurent Koscielny

![Koscielny](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Koscielny-500x336.jpg)

A veteran in the Arsenal defence, we’re seeing some great stuff from Laurent Koscielny at the moment and some are putting it down to the partner he has alongside him.

The inconsistent Gabriel and injured Mertesacker are nowhere to be seen and alongside Mustafi, Koscielny is looking very strong indeed.

## LB: Kieran Gibbs

![Gibbs](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/4765266-500x351.jpg)

Whilst this is a massive game, Arsenal are coming up against the minnows of the group and it’d be a great match to give some fringe players a chance to shine.

Monreal has been ever-present at left-back and we’d like to see Kieran Gibbs be given the chance against the Bulgarians.

## CDM: Santi Cazorla

![santi-cazorlakl](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Santi-Cazorlakl-500x343.jpg)

Santi Cazorla has adapted well in a slightly deeper role this season and he is a player that can always bring that hint of quality if it is required.

He’ll relish the chance to play against the weakest team in the group and most are expecting a strong performance from the Spaniard.

## CDM: Francis Coquelin

![Coquelin](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Coquelin-500x319.jpg)

We’d like to see French midfielder Francis Coquelin be given the nod for the game against Lodogorets.

He’s industrious, hard-working and a real menace in the middle-of-the-park, and there aren’t as many that break the play up quite as well as he does in this current Arsenal side.

## RM: Theo Walcott

![wengersanchezwalcott](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/WengerSanchezWalcott-500x323.jpg)

Walcott had an absolutely fantastic game against Swansea City and despite grabbing a brace, he might be annoyed to have not scored even more.

He could easily have had five against the strugglers and he’ll hope he can get in on the goals against Ludogorets on Wednesday evening.

It’s great to see him back in form.

## CAM: Mesut Ozil

![mesut-ozild](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Mesut-Ozild-500x318.jpg)

Celebrated his birthday with a strong performance against the Swans, which also featured a goal and you’d expect a player like Mesut Ozil to really kick on as the season progresses.

He’s one of the most naturally gifted footballers we’ve seen in the Premier League and he could be huge in the game at the Emirates on Wednesday.

## LM: Alex Iwobi

Another England speedster, Alex Iwobi has enjoyed a fantastic rise into the Arsenal first-team in the past six months and he looks very much at home in the Arsenal forward line.

Like Walcott, he’s naturally more of a central player but with the competition so fierce in the Arsenal ranks, he’s having to make do on the flank.

## ST: Alexis Sanchez

![alexis-sanchez](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Alexis-Sanchez-500x358.jpg)

Chilean international Alexis Sanchez is the player that gives this Arsenal side so much threat going forward. He’s a complete game changer and a man the Bulgarian’s won’t be looking forward to facing up against on Wednesday.

He’ll be hoping for a goal or two.
