# 4-3-3: If Klopp fields this Liverpool XI, they can beat Chelsea on Tuesday evening

***The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have had a disappointing few weeks…***

Despite starting the season well, the Reds have struggled over the last few weeks – with Jurgen Klopp’s men slowly losing their grip on a Premier League title challenge this season.

With the season at the halfway point, games are going to come thick and fast from here on out – and Liverpool must ensure that they turn their season around if they want to win the Premier League title come May.

Up next for the Reds is a game of particular significance; a clash against Premier League leaders Chelsea. The last few weeks might have been poor, but nothing will send a message of dominance better than comfortably beating the league leaders.

Klopp won the first battle against Antonio Conte, and if he wants to stay in the race – he must do the same again. He’ll have to make sure he picks the right team for the job, though…

With that said, If Klopp fields this Liverpool XI, they can beat Chelsea on Tuesday evening.

## GK – Simon Mignolet

Lorius Karius has not been good enough, and Simon Mignolet will continue in goal.

The Belgian has been far better lately.

## LB – James Milner

James Milner has made the left-back spot his own this season.

An obvious starter.

## CB – Joel Matip

Joel Matip was recently cleared by FIFA for a return to action, and will likely come back into the team.

He has been good this season, and Liverpool have missed him.

## CB – Dejan Lovren

Dejan Lovren struggled last season, but he has looked far better this season.

Jurgen Klopp is getting the best out of him.

## RB – Nathaniel Clyne

Nathaniel Clyne has been shaky this season, but Jurgen Klopp has little choice but to play him.

He needs to improve.

## CM – Jordan Henderson

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has become a pass master in the heart of this midfield.

He has been stellar this season, though he has come under some unfair criticism lately.

His leadership will be vital.

## CM – Georginio Wijnaldum

![](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Georginio-Wijnaldum.jpg)

Georginio Wijnaldum has not set the Premier League alight since moving to Liverpool, but he has been fairly consistent.

A decent asset to this midfield.

## CM – Adam Lallana

![](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/ADAM-LALLANA0.jpg)

Adam Lallana has arguably been the best player in Red so far this season, and will definitely start.

From the midfield, Lallana has become the focal point of the Liverpool attack – and he has grown into the player that we all thought he could be when he moved to Anfield.

## LW – Philippe Coutinho

## ![](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/2016-11-19T170552Z_122576752_MT1ACI14676777_RTRMADP_3_SOCCER-ENGLAND-SOU-LIV-1-1024x651.jpg)

Coutinho is back from injury and should help to cover the void left by Sadio Mane.

Arguably the best passer in the Premier League.

## ST – Divock Origi

![](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/2016-11-26T154813Z_123176893_MT1ACI14684865_RTRMADP_3_SOCCER-ENGLAND-LIV-SUN-1024x695.jpg)

Divock Origi should come into the side, because Daniel Sturridge has simply not been good enough.

Mane is still not available, which is forcing Firmino out onto the wing.

## RW –  Roberto Firmino

![](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/2016-12-27T180306Z_125863386_MT1ACI14711930_RTRMADP_3_SOCCER-ENGLAND-LIV-STK-1024x639.jpg)

Firmino has been a close second behind Lallana when it comes to performances this season.

He has scored a few incredible goals, and Klopp will be hoping that he can pull out another against Chelsea.
