# 4-3-3: This Liverpool XI will smash Derby County at the iPro Stadium

**The Jurgen Klopp express is seemingly steaming through the Premier League right now, with the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern delighted passengers.**

After disposing of Chelsea at Stamford Bridge for the second season in a row on Friday night, the Reds propping up the bar have been waxing poetic about the wealth of options available to the German.

In a team packed to the rafters with goals, the Merseyside titans travel to Derby County tomorrow, a team in stark contrast to their Premier League visitors.

Struggling to score at all, the notion of Liverpool’s floating frontline tearing apart the Rams has put a smile on the faces of the locals in the Transfer Tavern.

Such are the vast array of options to choose from in their squad, much has been discussed in regards to their potential starting lineup.

That being said, here’s what we’ve come up with, the Liverpool XI to **SMASH** Derby County in the EFL Cup.

## GK: Loris Karius

Following his recovery from injury, Loris Karius’ long-awaited debut between the sticks can finally arrive in Derbyshire tomorrow night.

While Simon Mignolet hasn’t dropped too many clangers this term, the German has a chance to stake his claim.

## RB: Nathaniel Clyne

Truly explosive and vital to Klopp’s plans, expect him to break behind enemy lines tomorrow night.

## CB: Ragnar Klavan

Though the form of both Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip have kept him out of the side recently, Ragnar Klavan is likely to be handed a starting berth.

His tenacious and dogged defending will be key against a Championship side.

## CB: Emre Can

![Emre CanEmre Can](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Emre-CanEmre-Can.jpg)

While not a natural central defender, Emre Can has performed in a variety of positions for Liverpool during his two years on Merseyside.

Elegant on the ball, he’ll be tasked with starting attacks.

## LB: Alberto Moreno

Dropped for an out of position James Milner of late, Alberto Moreno’s attacking enterprise could be handy against a Derby side likely to sit behind the ball.

## CDM: Lucas Leiva

![Lucas LeivaLucas Leivamks](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Lucas-LeivaLucas-Leivamks.jpg)

The Reds stalwart performed admirably as a makeshift central defender against Leicester City, despite his assist for Jamie Vardy.

Jordan Henderson has been remarkable in the holding role this season, though could do with a rest.

## CM: Marko Grujic

Hasn’t had much of a look-in since joining up with the squad over the summer, though is definitely one for the future.

His intricate technical skill and wide range of distribution make him the ideal replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum.

## CM: Adam Lallana

On an all-round basis, Adam Lallana has perhaps been Liverpool’s best player this season.

Flourishing in his role as a roaming central midfielder, his touch of class on the ball will be one of the biggest threats to unlocking Derby’s defence.

## RW: Sheyi Ojo

Reds fans may well clamour for the excellent Sadio Mane to start, though the Senegalese is in line for a rest.

Exciting winger Sheyi Ojo has been handed a chance by Klopp before and his direct running can see him as a like-for-like replacement.

## ST: Danny Ings

With Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge battling it out for a central striking berth, tomorrow night represents an ideal chance for Danny Ings to prove himself.

## LW: Roberto Firmino

Excellent in the last round against Burton, the brilliant Brazilian was the man to miss out against Chelsea.

If he’s on form, he could well run riot.
