# ‘£50m plus Sturridge’ – Liverpool fans calling for stunning Lukaku move

**Not many players move between Liverpool and Everton nowadays, and judging by the heated moments fans of the red and blue sides of Merseyside have here in the Transfer Tavern, it’s easy to see why.**

To say that the two sets of supporters don’t like one another would be an understatement. There’s a mutual respect there, yes, and family ties often come over club allegiance, but when matchday comes, the atmosphere is as bitter as it is intense.

So it’s understandable that Kopites have been revelling in the wake of [reports](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4313316/Romelu-Lukaku-tells-Everton-NOT-sign-new-contract.html) that Romelu Lukaku has no desire to sign a new contract at Goodison Park, and some here in the Tavern have got so carried away that they’ve even been talking about signing the big Belgian from their rivals.

And this conversation is not just limited to these four walls, with a huge section of Twitter users wanting the very same thing to happen…

> LFC should offer £50m plus Sturridge for Lukaku [#LFC](https://twitter.com/hashtag/LFC?src=hash)

> Loads mentioning Carroll & Benteke as a reason not to go for Lukaku. He’s got a lot more pace and skill to his game than both of those.

> Want us to seriously consider buying Lukaku now that he’ll leave. Still young yet proven striker, a perfect Sturridge replacement imo! [#LFC](https://twitter.com/hashtag/LFC?src=hash)

> Controversial one but definitely think [#LFC](https://twitter.com/hashtag/LFC?src=hash) should be in for Lukaku in the summer

> Lukaku up front Alongside Sturridge , Sturridge playing upfront with another decent striker is exactly what he needs.
