According to sources in *Italy*, Inter Milan midfielder McDonald Mariga has been heavily linked with a move to the premiership this summer, and looks set to exit the San Siro just 18 months after he arrived.

*La Gazzetta dello Sport* has revealed the West Midlands is the Kenyan international’s likely destination, with both Aston Villa and West Brom weighing up a move for the £7m rated star.

Before signing for Inter back in February 2010, Mariga was set to join Manchester City in a ‘BIG’ money move but failed to obtain a work permit before the transfer window closed.

After just 22 appearances for the Italian giants, plus Inter Milan President Massimo Moratti praising the 24 year old and admitting *“It’s best thing that could have happened”* when referring to Mariga’s switch from Parma, it seems highly unlikely they would be looking to offload the sought after middle-man, whom is tied to the club until 2013.

But you never know, stranger things have happened… we shall see.
