# Agent rules-out staggering Man United transfer

![It is his last chance for a big move](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Cristiano-Ronaldo-500x360.jpg)Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have had their dreams shattered today, after they heard comments from the agent of a world superstar.

[*The Express* says that Cristiano Ronaldo will not be returning to Manchester United and quote his agent, Jorge Mendes, as ruling out a switch to the Premier League.](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/621423/Cristiano-Ronaldo-Real-Madrid-No-Transfer-Manchester-United-Agent-Jorge-Mendes-PSG)

Ronaldo is a legend at Old Trafford after a vastly successful spell that ran until 2009, where he joined Real Madrid for a world-record fee, and United have held hopes of bringing the Portuguese superstar back to the Premier League ever since.

However, [Jorge Mendes has ruled out any exit for his high-profile client as he said:](https://www.canalplus.fr/c-sport/c-football/c-ligue-1/pid6219-canal-football-club.html)

> “It is impossible. He will end his career at Real Madrid.”

United also face competition for Ronaldo’s signature, with [*The Telegraph* stating the multiple-time Ballon D’Or winner is more likely to join Paris Saint-Germain than the Red Devils.](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/players/cristiano-ronaldo/12012003/Cristiano-Ronaldo-more-likely-to-join-Paris-Saint-Germain-than-Manchester-United-if-Real-Madrid-sell.html)

Ronaldo has scored 13 goals this season but has been under-par in the big games, failing to find a net in the defeats to Sevilla and Barcelona whilst also failing to find the net against Atletico Madrid and two-legs against Paris Saint-Germain.
