# Liverpool: Fans wax lyrical about Trent Alexander-Arnold

**Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold is arguably the best right-back on the planet right now.**

So far this campaign, he has managed [14](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/trent-alexander-arnold/leistungsdaten/spieler/314353) assists in all competitions, with 12 coming in the Premier League alone – he has the [second most](https://www.squawka.com/en/premier-league-most-assists-2019-2020-season/) in the whole division after Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne. His displays have been recognised across Europe as well, with him finishing in the [top 20](https://metro.co.uk/2019/12/02/full-ballon-dor-ranking-2019-lionel-messi-wins-award-sets-new-record-11257792/) of the Ballon d’Or – he was the only right-back to be named on the shortlist in the first place.

All of this, as you can imagine, makes him a hero amongst the Reds supporters, and the fact he is a local boy makes him even more popular. And now the fans have been given another chance to praise the 21-year-old following [a video put together by @OptaJoe](https://twitter.com/LFC/status/1254458971651477510).
