# Liverpool: Fans react to transfer report on Houssem Aouar

**[Liverpool-linked](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/11340648/arsenal-man-city-liverpool-houssem-aouar-transfer/) Houssem Aouar is one of the most promising and exciting young talents in football.**

The 21-year-old currently plays for Lyon in Ligue 1 and he is one of the mainstays in their midfield, having scored [nine goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/houssem-aouar/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/395693) and provided [seven assists in 37 matches](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/houssem-aouar/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/395693) in all competitions. Ever since he [burst onto the scene](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/houssem-aouar/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/395693) as an 18-year-old in 2017, he has regularly provided attacking threat from the middle of the park, amassing [24 goals and 24 assists in 133 matches](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/houssem-aouar/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/395693/verein/1041) overall.

However, it was always unlikely that Les Gones were going to be able to keep hold of him and now, according to L’Equipe ([via Get French Football News](https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2020/houssem-aouar-will-leave-lyon-this-summer-lequipe/)), he will leave the French club in the summer. They say that he will depart for a fee of around €50m (£43.9m).

This has caught the attention of many Liverpool supporters, and it is fair to say that they are desperate for the Reds to make a move for the France under-21 international. They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below:
