# Arsenal and Man United in the hunt for Italian defender

![Rugani.jpg](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Rugani-500x343.jpg)Manchester United and Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are arguing amongst themselves as to who is the better suitor for a talented defender, after reports that they’re both chasing a Serie A star emerged.

[*Gazzetta World* indicates that Daniele Rugani’s frustrations with his playing time at Juventus have put Manchester United and Arsenal on-alert for the young defender’s signature.](https://gazzettaworld.gazzetta.it/news/transfer-market/manchester-united-arsenal-juventus-rugani/?refresh_ce-cp)

Rugani has made just one substitute appearance all season since Juventus bought-out the player’s rights from Empoli over the summer, which has left the talented defender furious.

Juventus have struggled at the start of their Serie A title defence, which has left the club unable to shake things up too much at the back- resulting in bad news for Rugani.

However, the tables could turn in January against the Turin outfit if Rugani demands an exit due to his frustrations;[though Napoli could be his favoured suitors, due to his history playing under Maurizio Sarri.](https://gazzettaworld.gazzetta.it/news/transfer-market/manchester-united-arsenal-juventus-rugani/?refresh_ce-cp)
