[![Isco](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Isco-500x336.jpg)](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Isco.jpg?admin)Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are coping with a shock defeat to Sheffield Wednesday yesterday and their morale has been raised after a huge boost ahead of the January window.

[*The Daily Express* states Isco has informed Real Madrid he wants to leave the club](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/614819/Arsenal-Chelsea-Isco-Real-Madrid-Request-Transfer-News-Gossip), requesting a ‘change in scenery, handing Arsenal an incredible chance to sign one of Europe’s most exciting midfielders.

However, the Gunners could face competition for his signature; as [*The Daily Star* states Liverpool and Chelsea](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/472324/Arsenal-Chelsea-Liverpool-Real-Madrid-Isco) will rival Arsene Wenger’s side for the talented 23-year-old.

The Spaniard would command a hefty fee, [likely to be around £35m](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/472324/Arsenal-Chelsea-Liverpool-Real-Madrid-Isco), but would be the ideal long-term successor to Santi Cazorla in the Arsenal midfield and would also provide an option to the Gunners right-hand side, which is currently plagued with injury concerns.

Aaron Ramsey has been sidelined until mid-November, whilst Arsenal lost Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to muscle problems within the opening 20 minutes of their 3-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.

The Arsenal fans at the bar are extremely excited by this transfer report, believing that Isco could provide the catalyst towards a successful Premier League title push.
