# Arsenal: Fans attempt to convince Dayot Upamecano to join club after comments on transfer links

**Arsenal are interested in Red Bull Leipzig’s [Dayot Upamecano](https://www.bild.de/bild-plus/sport/fussball/fussball/bundesligia-klub-lehnt-arsenal-angebot-ueber-60-millionen-ab-63767592,view=conversionToLogin.bild.html) with the Gunners having already had a bid rejected for him, per *Bild*. Indeed, they also reportedly chased him last month with reports claiming [Mikel Arteta](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1243820/Arsenal-News-Dayot-Upamecano-RB-Leipzig-Transfer-Premier-League-Gossip) was thinking of making a move for the defender before signing Pablo Mari last month.**

With that in mind, his latest comments will be of interest to the north London outfit with the France youth international claiming he will sit down to make a decision on his future at the end of the season [(RMC Sport via Tribuna)](https://tribuna.com/en/arsenal/news/3567391/). However, with his contract expiring after the 2020/2021 campaign, there are plenty of sides eyeing up a move for the centre-half with Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester United all interested [(via Telefoot)](https://www.tf1.fr/tf1/telefoot/news/exclu-telefoot-bar-lorgne-dayot-upamecano-6931148.html).

One fan attempted to convince the 21-year-old by calling him a ‘king’.

> Come to the carpet my king.

In comparison to Arsenal’s centre-backs, [Upamecano](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/327721/Show/Dayot-Upamecano) has made more tackles per league game than [Arteta’s men](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/13/Show/England-Arsenal), as per WhoScored. A move is on the mind of some of the Emirates Stadium faithful as they reacted to his comments. Here are some reactions:
