# Arsenal fans beg club to reward Danny Welbeck

**Danny Welbeck bagged the only goal in a 1-0 win away to Sporting Lisbon last night. On the 76th minute, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang flicked the ball through to Welbeck, which ex-Liverpool defender Sebastian Coates couldn’t quite reach. This left Welbeck one-on-one and he made no mistake in firing the ball home, safely placing Arsenal top of Group E with nine points out of nine. Welbeck then amusingly tweeted this goal out with the caption ‘I’m Dat Guy’ which got a lot of people talking on Twitter.**

Considering that, let’s take a look at some of the Arsenal fans’ thoughts on his goal and his performance.

Arsenal fans quickly responded with their best attempts at praising Welbeck in the most humorous yet complementary way possible.

Other fans felt Welbeck’s performances should be rewarded with a new deal.

One fan even showed the difference in his strike rate to that of Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku.
