# Arsenal: Fans bubbling with excitement after Santi Cazorla linked with return to club

**Many Arsenal fans have expressed their excitement after Santi Cazorla was linked with a return to the club.**

[According to James Benge and Tashan Deniran-Alleyne](https://www.football.london/arsenal-fc/news/santi-cazorla-raul-sanllehi-arsenal-17767904?=231231234124), the Gunners are exploring the option of bringing the former midfielder back to the club, with the north London outfit unsure as to the capacity on which the Spain international would be involved upon his return. Indeed, whatever happens, [Raul Sanllehi](https://www.football.london/arsenal-fc/news/santi-cazorla-raul-sanllehi-arsenal-17767904?=231231234124) is likely to be heavily involved after it emerged the Spaniard has close ties with Cazorla’s agent.

The £3.6m-rated ([as per Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/santi-cazorla/leistungsdaten/spieler/15799)) Villareal ace has previously spoken of his desire to [return to the Emirates Stadium](https://www.goal.com/en-ie/news/cazorla-backs-arteta-to-become-a-great-coach-at-arsenal/1we4z67rgvh1d1jsnaf6s0hy4f) to say a proper goodbye, having left the club as a free agent due to fitness woes [(via BBC)](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44203704). He has been in sensational form this season, [scoring eight goals and assisting a further five](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/4522/Show/Santi-Cazorla), more than any of [Mikel Arteta’s midfielders](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/13/Show/England-Arsenal), as per WhoScored.

The report has left many Arsenal fans feeling elated, especially with Cazorla having become such a big [fan favourite](https://www.football.london/arsenal-fc/news/santi-cazorla-raul-sanllehi-arsenal-17767904?=231231234124) during his time at the club. With that in mind, here is a snippet of reaction from some of the Gunners faithful:
