# Arsenal: Fans buzzing over Martin Odegaard news

**Plenty of Arsenal fans have been giving their thoughts to an update regarding Martin Odegaard on social media.**

According to [Football London reporter Kaya Kaynak](https://twitter.com/kayakaynak97/status/1375855383688937474), Odegaard is keen to remain at the Emirates Stadium.

[Kaynak](https://twitter.com/kayakaynak97/status/1375855383688937474) claimed that the on-loan midfielder has told those close to him that he would like to stay with the Gunners after being left impressed with Mikel Arteta and his ongoing project. The 22-year-old won’t force a Real Madrid exit, though, so it is now down to Arsenal to initiate a potential permanent switch to England.

Odegaard, valued at £36m by [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/martin-odegaard/profil/spieler/316264), will still have [two years remaining](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/martin-odegaard/profil/spieler/316264) on his Bernabeu deal in the summer.
