# Arsenal: Fans excited after transfer links with Barcelona’s Marc Cucurella emerge

**Some Arsenal fans have voiced their excitement after the club were linked with a move for Barcelona’s Marc Cucurella, with one supporter praising the ‘workaholic’ as ‘absolutely fantastic’.**

According to [COPE](https://twitter.com/GemmitaSantos/status/1231956685746528259), the left-back has a €25m (roughly £21m) release clause in his contract at the Nou Camp, which the Gunners are interested in activating having monitored his performances this season. However, they are not the only side interested in making a move for the youngster, with Tottenham Hotspur one of a number of clubs eyeing up a potential transfer.

The player is currently on loan at fellow La Liga team [Getafe](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/819/Show/Spain-Getafe), where he has enjoyed a brilliant season, averaging the second-most tackles and the second-most key passes per league game for the Spanish outfit. When compared to [Arsenal’s squad](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/13/Show/England-Arsenal), [Cucurella](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/363496/Show/Marc-Cucurella) has played 1.4 key passes per game, a number that would leave him in third place despite him being a defender, as per WhoScored. These Gunners fans were pleased with the reports linking the club with a move for the 21-year-old as they reacted on Twitter. Here are some of their responses:

> I love him and I want him, we can sell Kolasinac and move Saka to his natural position and have Trieney and Cucurella as our LBs. Cucurella is almost always injury free
