# Arsenal: Fans go crazy after Gabriel Martinelli’s latest goal in draw with Frank Lampard’s Chelsea

**Arsenal fans were going crazy after Gabriel Martinelli ran [67-yards](https://twitter.com/AFTVMedia/status/1219736498393833472) to score their first equalising goal in the 2-2 draw with Chelsea.**

The goal came after the north London outfit counter-attacked the Blues following Shkodran Mustafi’s headed clearance from a corner. Martinelli was rather fortunate as N’Golo Kante slipped, allowing the [£6m](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/07/02/arsenal-confirm-brazilian-teenager-gabriel-martinelli-first/) man from Ituano to run through and slot past Kepa Arrizabalaga [(via BBC)](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51101529).

One fan showed his love for the youngster as he compared him to a legend of the game.

> From Terry’s slip to Kanye’s slip. Martinelli better than Messi.

The 18-year-old enjoyed a brilliant game against the fourth-placed side in the Premier League as he had the joint-most shots on goal and on target for the Reds. He also did his duty in tracking back and attempting to shield Bukayo Saka as he made the joint-second most tackles and the joint-second most interceptions [(via WhoScored)](https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1376105/LiveStatistics/England-Premier-League-2019-2020-Chelsea-Arsenal). With that in mind, fans were going crazy after his goal as they took to Twitter to react. Here is a selection of tweets from the north London faithful:

> There’s Gerrard’s slip at Anfield and then there’s that. The composure from the young man was scary.
