# Arsenal: Fans happy to let Alexandre Lacazette go if Thomas Partey joins

**Some Arsenal fans are happy to let Alexandre Lacazette go to Atletico Madrid if it means that they can get Thomas Partey in exchange.**

This comes after [The Sun](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/11383765/arsenal-news-live-kante-xhaka-lacazette-partey-transfer/) exclusively revealed that the north London club are hoping to secure a deal for the midfield powerhouse, and may be willing to include Lacazette as a makeweight in exchange.

As per the outlet, Partey still has three years left on his contract as the Spanish giants are poised to tie him down to a new package, meaning that the Gunners will have to get creative if they want to prize him away.

The 26-year old wins 6.6 duels per La Liga game this season, and also averages 2.1 tackles, 1.4 interceptions and 1.2 clearances, according to [Sofascore](https://www.sofascore.com/player/thomas-partey/316148).

He would be a welcome addition to Arsenal’s starting eleven given his ability to win the ball back and potentially dominate midfield.

‘Laca’ on the other hand is not enjoying a particularly prolific campaign, scoring just seven times in the Premier League, as per [Sofascore](https://www.sofascore.com/player/alexandre-lacazette/50070).

These Gooners are happy to let the 28-year old go if it means that Partey can become an AFC player, and shared their thoughts on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/AFTVMedia):
