# Arsenal: Fans unconvinced by Hakim Ziyech after David Ornstein’s transfer update

**Some Arsenal fans lashed out at Ajax’s Hakim Ziyech after David Ornstein provided an update on the player’s potential move to rivals Chelsea.**

[According to the famed journalist](https://twitter.com/David_Ornstein/status/1227596430476500992), the west London outfit have verbally agreed on a fee with the Dutch giants for the Morocco international ahead of a move in the summer. The Gunners showed interest in the winger last month, with a €50m (roughly £42.1m) valuation mentioned (via [Calciomercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/arsenal-50-milioni-per-un-esterno-a-gennaio-46237)).

However, it seems as though the Blues have stolen a march on potential rivals for a player who has been in breathtaking form this campaign. Despite the north London outfit having been linked with a move for the 26-year-old, it seems as though some Arsenal fans weren’t too bothered about potentially missing out on the playmaker, with one supporter thinking they already have a superior forward in Nicolas Pepe.
