# Arsenal: Fans lash out at the club after eye-opening statistic emerges

**Arsenal fans were lashing out at the club after a statistic about the side’s poor run of form in the Premier League emerged following their draw with Burnley.**

Yesterday’s 0-0 result means the Gunners have now won just six of their opening 25 league games, their least amount of victories at this point of the year since the 1912/1913 campaign [(via BBC)](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51253150). It also means Mikel Arteta’s team have now drawn their 13th game, the most any top-flight team has managed after 25 fixtures since [Manchester United](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51253150) during the 1980/1981 season.

One fan made his feeling on the stat crystal clear.

> Liked and then unliked this. Truly shocking season. Hard to believe there are teams that are worse than us in the league this year.
>
> Can’t see us winning the Europa – even if we boss it for a few games, we are guaranteed a performance like that in our run of games. [https://t.co/ZziooHLTkM](https://t.co/ZziooHLTkM)

However, despite the obvious drawbacks, [Mikel Arteta](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51253150) came out and praised his team for their defensive resilience as the north London outfit kept their first clean sheet away from home in the league since the 0-0 draw with Everton [(via WhoScored)](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/13/Fixtures/England-Arsenal). But, fans were less forgiving as they took to Twitter to lambaste the side, and a former coach, after the full-time whistle. Here is a selection of tweets from the Emirates Stadium faithful:

> Unai emery actually killed our team completely, destroyed absolutely everything.

> Pathetic. Nothing less. This season is a write off. Let’s just hope we don’t get relegated
