# Arsenal: Fans laud Mikel Arteta after latest comments

**Arsenal fans have been lauding Mikel Arteta after his latest comments on the players and the position of the club.**

The Spaniard claimed that it wasn’t in the club’s best interest to ‘relax’ as they are currently not good enough to do so [(via Arsenal)](https://www.arsenal.com/news/arteta-was-i-angry-half-time-yes)

Arsenal have enjoyed a solid start to the new calendar year, winning both of their games against Manchester United and Leeds United whilst also keeping clean sheets.

However, the Gunners are recovering from a horrid first-half of the campaign which saw them win just two of their final 17 games of 2019 [(via WhoScored)](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/13/Fixtures/England-Arsenal).

It’s a run of form which sees the north London giants currently reside in 10th place in the top-flight, nine points of fourth-placed Chelsea in the race for top-four.

Fans were left more than impressed with the latest comments from the head coach as they took to Twitter to heap praise on him.

Here is a selection of tweets from the north London faithful:
