# Arsenal: Fans laud Philippe Coutinho transfer news

**Some Arsenal fans have welcomed transfer news coming from [Le 10 Sport](https://le10sport.com/football/mercato/exclu-mercato-arsenal-reve-de-coutinho-barcelone-504693) about the possibility of Philippe Coutinho signing for the north London outfit in the upcoming summer transfer window.**

As per the report, the former Liverpool ace is of great interest to  somePremier League clubs and apparently the Gunners dream of signing him. However, the Barcelona playmaker, who is [on loan at Bayern Munich](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/philippe-coutinho/transfers/spieler/80444) this season, has also been courted by Chelsea, as one Gooner claimed on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/AFTVMedia/status/1264844907627200512) that ‘United and Chelsea fans are shaking’ after hearing the news.

It would perhaps be a controversial move to Manchester United given their bitter rivalry with Liverpool, but given Coutinho’s pedigree in the Premier League, Arsenal will likely have to fight hard to claim his signature. Indeed, the 27-year old scored 41 goals and provided 37 assists in 152 appearances in England’s highest division, playing in a number of attacking positions, according to [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/philippe-coutinho/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/80444/plus/0?saison=&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=GB1&pos=&trainer_id=).

> The problem with us [@Arsenal](https://twitter.com/Arsenal?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) is that we’re good in spotting good players but we hardly bring them home, hope this one will work out this time 😊😊

> I would definitely take him if it’s a loan, let’s not forget he used to be one of the best in EPL before his move plus he is in his prime (28). So whether he rediscover that form remains to be seen but is an opportunity for us to spend on other priorities.
