# Arsenal: Fans left unsurprised after reports concerning Aubameyang and Lacazette

**Arsenal fans were left unsurprised after reports concerning Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette emerged from Goal.**

[According to Goal](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/seven-reasons-why-arsenal-must-consider-sacking-emery-now/9q6fpgubehhg1c31uk8qpqqxt), both forwards are keeping their options open with regards to signing new contracts at the club as both players seek Champions League football.

The reports come amid a huge drop in form for the north London giants in recent weeks. Unai Emery’s side have won just [one of their last four league games](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/13/Fixtures/England-Arsenal), drawing two at home and losing the other to Sheffield United away.

It has left the Gunners six points stranded off Chelsea in fourth-place, with third-placed Leicester City to come away from home. The Foxes have [scored 11 goals in their last two away games](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/14/Fixtures/England-Leicester), showing the size of the task in front of Arsenal.

[Aubameyang](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/pierre-emerick-aubameyang/leistungsdaten/spieler/58864/plus/0?saison=2018) and [Lacazette](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alexandre-lacazette/leistungsdaten/spieler/93720/plus/0?saison=2018#) contributed [50 of the club’s 112 goals in all competitions last season](https://www.tablesleague.com/teams/arsenal1/2018_2019/), showing that a potential disaster could be on the cards if the club were to lose them next summer.

It seems that fans aren’t too stunned by the news concerning their two forwards as they took to Twitter to react.

Here is a selection of tweets from the north London faithful:

> What do you expect? They can’t sign a new contract to play only in FA cup and league games.

> Yeah! We can understand why. They play under a man whiteout vision and poor tactics. It’s understandable. > They’re clearly not enjoying their football under Emery & probably want to see the direction the club is going before committing further to the cause. The board need to be very decisive in how they handle this managerial situation or else, we could lose some of our key players
