# Arsenal: Fans not happy after Sokratis injury news emerges ahead of Manchester United clash

**A few days on since their late defeat against Chelsea, Arsenal head into another big game tonight to kick 2020 off with a bang.**

While there were some promising signs against the Blues during the embryonic stages of the Mikel Arteta reign, the defensive problems were certainly apparent with the likes of [Bernd Leno](https://metro.co.uk/2019/12/29/bernd-leno-breaks-silence-howler-chelsea-defeat-11974158/) and [Shkodran Mustafi](https://metro.co.uk/2019/12/30/ian-wright-tells-mikel-arteta-sell-arsenal-flop-chelsea-transfer-news-11975808/) criticised for their parts in the reversal.

Well, with Manchester United up next tonight at the Emirates Stadium, there’s further bad news on the defensive front. Indeed, according to [BBC Sport](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50908732)‘s pre-match preview, Sokratis is likely to miss the game due to a concussion picked up in Arteta’s first game against Bournemouth on Boxing Day.

As per [WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/13/Show/England-Arsenal), no one in the squad makes more blocks per game on average than the Greek international (1.4), while his 3 duels in the air a game won isn’t bettered by anyone either. With that in mind, here’s a look at some of the reaction amongst Arsenal fans online to the news.
