# Arsenal: Fans praise Gabriel Martinelli as he tops the charts for scoring teens in Europe

**Arsenal fans have [credited](https://twitter.com/AFTVMedia/status/1190207995457744896) their Brazilian striker Gabriel Martinelli after becoming the leading teenage goalscorer across the major leagues in Europe.**

The Brazilian has scored [three](https://twitter.com/AFTVMedia/status/1190207995457744896) more goals than any youngster in Europe as he continues to leave his mark on the Premier League.

He scored a brace during their side’s exit from the Carabao Cup after drawing [5-5](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50148250) after normal time but eventually lost 5-4 on [penalties](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50148250) after Dani Ceballos saw his spot-kick saved.

Martinelli, 18, signed for the Gunners for an [undisclosed fee](https://twitter.com/AFTVMedia/status/1190207995457744896) during the summer and is producing the goods in the cup competitions.

After his first seven games for Arsenal, he [sits](https://twitter.com/AFTVMedia/status/1190207995457744896) above the likes of Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho and Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix as the top-scoring teen across the big leagues.

Gunners’ fans responded in their waves and applauded the Brazilian for his efforts this season.

> Arsenal should extend Martinelli’s contract until 2030. Quadruple his salary and put a $300m release clause.
