# Arsenal: Fans profess their love for Mikel Arteta after Spaniard’s comments about starting XI

**Arsenal fans were lauding Mikel Arteta after the Spaniard commented on what starting XI he will choose for the club’s clash with Olympiacos this evening.**

In his pre-match press conference yesterday, the former Manchester City coach claimed that he will choose the team that he feels ‘is the best to play’ [(via Arsenal)](https://twitter.com/Arsenal/status/1230215690944159745). The comments come amid some interesting team news ahead of the fixture against the Greek giants. While [Pablo Mari and Matteo Guendouzi](https://www.arsenal.com/news/team-news-mari-ozil-torreira-cedric) could feature, [Lucas Torreira](https://www.arsenal.com/news/team-news-mari-ozil-torreira-cedric) could miss out because of illness and [Mesut Ozil](https://www.arsenal.com/news/team-news-mari-ozil-torreira-cedric) has been left at home with his wife due to give birth.

The Gunners will be hoping for a better start to the Europa League knockout round having lost 1-0 to Belarus outfit [BATE Borisov](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47203237) at the same stage last season. Fans were loving the comments made by the head coach as they took to Twitter to react. Let’s take a look at some of the replies:
