# Arsenal: Fans rage at links for Luka Jovic as a potential replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

**Some Arsenal fans have been raging at transfer links for Luka Jovic after [SPORT](https://www.sport.es/es/noticias/mercado-fichajes/arsenal-piensa-jovic-7927597) suggested that he could be bought as a potential replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.**

According to the [outlet](https://www.sport.es/es/noticias/barca/aubmeyang-plan-b-para-delantera-del-barca-7892233), the Gabonese international has attracted interest in Spain, with FC Barcelona amongst his admirers. However, the Catalan giants only see him as a back-up option with their main target apparently being Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan.

Real Madrid are also reportedly interested, with [France Football](https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2020/real-madrid-make-initial-enquiry-for-pierre-emerick-aubameyang-france-football/) claiming that Los Blancos have made an initial enquiry. Whether Jovic could be used to sweeten any deal is another question, but some AFC supporters do not seem to be keen on the Serbian international.

The Gunners may face a battle with London rivals Chelsea though, as [SPORT](https://www.sport.es/es/noticias/real-madrid/chelsea-quiere-luka-jovic-7904545) understands.

Jovic is enduring a difficult debut campaign in Madrid, managing just two goals and assists in 24 appearances in all competitions in Spain, as per [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/luka-jovic/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/257462/plus/0?saison=2019&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=). However, the 22-year old’s hype came in his previous season, where he scored 27 times and provided seven assists in 48 matches for Eintracht Frankfurt (via the [website](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/luka-jovic/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/257462/plus/0?saison=2018&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=)).

Despite his record, these Gooners have raged over the links and voiced their anger on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/AFTVMedia/status/1250372545183764480):

> No thanks.. Even if Aubamayang is going to Madrid would not take him as a swap deal.. He just had one good season in Germany and had a very poor season in Spain last year. With his style of play and quality doesn’t suit us and will struggle in premier league.
