# Arsenal: Fans slam Mesut Ozil as club have not discussed terminating his deal

**Lots of Arsenal fans have slammed [Mesut Ozil](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/arsenal-fc-news/arsenal-mesut-ozil-transfer-interest-saudi-arabia-qatar/) as [ESPN](https://www.espn.co.uk/football/arsenal/story/4205174/no-talks-to-terminate-mesut-ozils-arsenal-contract-sources) have reported that the club has not discussed terminating his deal.**

According to the outlet, the 31-year-old is focused on regaining a place in Mikel Arteta’s side for the competitions in which he is eligible to play.

Ozil is clearly not in Arteta’s plans at the moment, but the summer transfer window has passed for players in the Premier League to be able to move to foreign clubs.

Therefore, the German will continue to cost the Gunners a lot of money until they can get him off the wage bill, and they could look to move him on in the January transfer window if a team is willing to pay the amount of money that he would likely demand.
