# Arsenal: Fans talk about transfer link to Chelsea’s Willian

**Lots of Arsenal fans have been talking about the latest transfer news linking them to Chelsea’s Willian after [ESPN](https://www.espn.co.uk/)‘s Jorge Nicola (via [The Sun](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/11487580/arsenal-chelsea-willian-free-transfer-david-luiz/)) claimed the 31-year old’s representatives believe that the north London club are the most viable destination for the winger in the summer transfer window.**

Nicola says that the Gunners are a little ahead, but everything is still open. Willian’s close relationship with David Luiz could also be a deciding factor in the attacker’s decision, and the Brazilian international has previously [stated](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/11009116/willian-spurs-transfer-mourinho-chelsea/) his desire to stay in London. FC Barcelona, Liverpool, Paris Saint Germain and Tottenham Hotspur have also been [mentioned](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/11465198/willian-liverpool-transfer-chelsea-contract/) as potential suitors.

Willian has made 37 appearances in all competitions for the Blues this season, scoring seven goals and providing six assists, as per [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/willian/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/52769/plus/0?saison=2019&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=).

These Gooners talked about the transfer link, with one AFC claiming that he would bench Nicolas Pepe and another claiming that Gabriel Martinelli is better:
