Arsenal’s academy prospects had a good day on Thursday after young stars Joe Willock and Eddie Nketiah scored the goals for the Gunners in their 2-0 victory against Southampton.
Nketiah’s Instagram may have the club’s supporters praising him even more as he posted a picture of his celebration, which was him pretending to be on a call, and it was accompanied by the caption “Back to business, +3 ! ⚽️📞🙏🏾”.
The forward was on loan for the first half of the season at Leeds United but was not favoured by Marcelo Bielsa and returned to the Gunners. He has clearly impressed Mikel Arteta, though, as he has managed to make eight appearances in the Premier League and two appearances in the FA Cup since returning, with four goals across those fixtures (as per Transfermarkt) marking out as a potent goal poacher.
The Gunners faithful will be hoping that this can continue and that Nketiah can score the goals to lead a late European charge as they now sit only six points from fifth place.
