With Arsenal launching their new home shirt this week, many supporters were rushing to social media to see what their stars look like in the new strip.
One star who clearly couldn’t wait to show fans a picture of him in the kit was young star Gabriel Martinelli. The Brazilian posted an image on Instagram of him in the Emirates Stadium wearing the red and white shirt, accompanied by the caption ‘Arsenal are home’.
The forward, who signed from Ituano last summer, has had a great debut campaign at the Gunners, scoring 10 goals and picking up two assists in all competitions, while averaging 1.2 shots per game, via WhoScored.
This shows how much of an impact he has made in his debut season at the Emirates, and it also highlights the scale of his potential he has if he can hit double figures at this level at the age of 19.
Sadly, he is injured at the moment, but the social media post had many Arsenal fans excitedly wishing to have him back as soon as possible and continue where he left off before the injury.
Gunners fans, are you excited for Martinelli’s return to the team? Comment below with your views!
