However some players who have been missing have returned, with Granit Xhaka starting against Southampton and Sokratis on the bench. Lucas Torreira still hasn’t returned since football has resumed, although his latest Instagram post suggests that he could feature very soon.
He has played 33 times this season across all competitions, with two goals and one assist for the defensive midfielder. Torreira has been good at breaking up play as he has averaged 1.2 tackles and 1.3 interceptions per game, via WhoScored.
The post showed the Uruguayan back on the training pitch, accompanied by the caption ‘Good training’.

This could be good news for Arsenal if he can return soon as Mikel Arteta seems to be unhappy with Matteo Guendouzi following his antics against Brighton (as per Daily Mail), and this was highlighted by the fact that he was not even in the matchday squad for the Gunners’ victory against Southampton.
Hopefully Torreira would be raring to go sooner rather than later to help Arsenal push further up the league.
