It seems that Mikel Arteta is still yet to make his mind up on midfielder Dani Ceballos, but is starting to favour the player as of late and it could mean he stays at the club beyond this season.
The Real Madrid loanee is uncertain of his future at Los Blancos, and the Gunners have now become more keen on keeping him at the club past this season, whether that is on another loan or a permanent transfer is unclear at this moment however.
The 23 year-old Spaniard has impressed fans, but has been in and out of the Arsenal side this campaign. He does though have some solid stats this season per WhoScored, in his ten appearances he ranks third when it comes to average tackles per game (1.9), whilst offensively he has the third most key passes per game (1.1) and fifth most successful dribbles per game, (1.1).
This highlights how good he is in the central midfield role as not only can he break up opposition attacks, but he can also bring the ball forward and has a creative eye. To be able to do this whilst still quite young highlights the potential he has.
If he can perform at his best, this sounds like an ideal player for Mikel Arteta to have in his squad, and if Arsenal can secure his services for longer than this season, then they definitely should.
