Arsenal: Predicted XI to face Leicester City

Arsenal: Predicted XI to face Leicester City - Arsenal News

Arsenal’s results have improved of late as they have now won their last four games in all competitions, including a 2-0 win away to Wolves at the weekend.

This has seen them move to within three points of Wolves in sixth and they are only eight points away from Chelsea in fourth, via BBC Sport.

They now face another huge game against Leicester City tonight and, if they were to beat the third-placed Foxes, they could blow the race for the Champions League positions wide open.

Here is Football Transfer Tavern’s predicted Arsenal starting XI, which sees Arteta make two changes from the team that started the win at Wolves:

The Gunners picked up a clean sheet against a Wolves team featuring the prolific Raul Jiminez and Adama Traore, who have 19 goals and 15 assists between them in their squad, and it is their third clean sheet in the Premier League in a row, so there should be no need for Arteta to change the defence. Sead Kolasinac seems to have rediscovered his form in a new role at centre-back and this was highlighted by him receiving a 7.2 rating in the game on the weekend, per SofaScore.

Meanwhile, Granit Xhaka and Dani Ceballos seem to be controlling the middle of the park well in the new setup and Arteta will surely be pleased that the club managed to extend Ceballos’ loan until the end of the season.

Bukayo Saka continues to impress and his goal against Wolves emphasises the quality and potential he has, while Eddie Nketiah had a decent performance and received a 7.0 rating per SofaScore. However, Alexandre Lacazette looked sharp and provided the Gunners with a crucial goal to double their lead on Saturday, so Mikel Arteta will probably pick the French forward over Nketiah in the hope that he continues his good form.
