Arsenal: Gunners eyeing shock Marcus Rashford move

Arsenal are reportedly ‘monitoring’ Marcus Rashford’s situation at Manchester United ahead of a potential shock move this summer.
The Lowdown: Contract uncertainty
Rashford is reportedly facing continued uncertainty over his contract at Old Trafford, despite United recently triggering a 12-month extension.
His deal expires in 2024, meaning that he will only have one year left come the summer.
The Latest: Arsenal ‘monitoring’ situation
As per Football Insider, Arsenal are ‘monitoring’ Rashford’s situation ahead of a possible shock swoop this summer, with Mikel Arteta already registering his interest to the England international’s camp in 2022.
The Spaniard is thought to be a ‘huge fan’ of Rashford, but United have ‘no intention’ of selling him this summer.
The Verdict: Unlikely
The Gunners signing Rashford this summer seems highly unlikely at this stage, given the 25-year-old’s blistering form and the fact that the two clubs are only separated by five points in the Premier League table.
Hailed as a ‘monster‘ by football analyst Statman Dave, Rashford has scored an impressive 21 goals and made a further eight assists in total over all competitions so far this season (Transfermarkt), and seems to have been given a new lease of life under new manager Erik ten Hag.
As such, it would be a real shock to see the Manchester-born attacker make the switch to the Emirates Stadium, and so the North Londoners will likely have to move on to new targets.
