Many Arsenal fans were left slamming the display of Mohamed Elneny despite their 5-1 win at home to Sunderland in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.

It was a convincing victory for Mikel Arteta's team in the end at the Emirates Stadium, as Eddie Nketiah grabbed himself a hat-trick, while Nicolas Pepe and debutant Charlie Patino also found themselves on the scoresheet.

However, a lot of Gooners were unimpressed with Elneny's performance, as he struggled at times to be the anchor at the base of the midfield, losing out on all three of his duels, while he also failed to make a single interception or tackle in the game (SofaScore).

The Egypt international also failed to make any key passes (SofaScore), in what was a shaky night for him individually.
