It looks like Arsenal are nearing the completion of a transfer and one supporters will know well as Dani Ceballos looks to be returning to the Emirates.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Ceballos turned down three loan bids from Italy and Spain because he wanted to join Arsenal. The North London side have managed to agree a deal with Real Madrid to bring him back on loan for another season.
The quality that Ceballos possesses was there for all to see whilst he was at the Premier League side last season as he averaged 1.9 tackles and 1.3 interceptions per game, via WhoScored, as well as averaging 1.2 key passes and 1.1 successful dribbles a match.
To have someone in the middle of the pitch who likes to get stuck in and provide support for the back line, whilst also offering an outlet in attack is something all teams would love to have, and it is understandable that the Gunners are keen to bring him back, even if it is only on a temporary deal.
With Arteta speaking in the past about the current financial struggles the club has, acquiring Ceballos on a loan is a great bit of business and supporters will be happy to see him return.
He started the last twelve Premier League games for the club last season, so clearly he was seen as a vital asset and now with him returning, Arteta will have the midfield back that he used a lot last season.
