Arsenal supporters might not be happy with the latest news breaking as it seems the club are not interested in a reported transfer target.
Sky Sports Italia journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that AS Roma winger Justin Kluivert was not involved in any swap deal as the Italian side have agreed with Arsenal to sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan on a permanent basis.
Henrix Mkhitaryan will stay at Roma also on next season on a permanent deal. Agreement reached with Arsenal – never started any talks for a swap deal with Justin Kluivert. 🇦🇲 #Arsenal #AFC #Roma #transfers

Romano says that the Gunners never even started any talks for a swap deal with the Dutchman, that is despite Calciomercato reporting that there had been dialogue about this in late June.
This is no real surprise and is probably for the best as Kluivert has actually had a worse season than the Armenian for Roma. The 21 year-old has played 19 games and only scored four goals as well as picking up one assist, whilst Mkhitaryan has only played fifteen times but has scored six goals and picked up three assists, via WhoScored.
Even though Kluivert is only 21, involving him in any sort of deal could have been a risk, as Arsenal have a lot of good attacking youth right now, like Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka, and Eddie Nketiah, so to bring in another young attacker would have been needless.
