Paris Saint-Germain are keen to sell Julian Draxler this summer, with Arsenal set to reignite their interest in the German attacker.
Mikel Arteta’s Gunners have had a fairly inconsistent season and, with the Premier League restart set for next week, the Spaniard will be hoping his side can improve on their lowly ninth position.
Such inconsistency at the Emirates Stadium is expected to see the former midfielder make several changes in the summer transfer window and Draxler has been one of those players linked with a move to the club.
Signing for Ligue 1 side PSG in January 2017, the German has played a part in the club’s three consecutive league title triumphs, whilst his previous success for Schalke and the German national side (with whom he won the World Cup in 2014) have enhanced his reputation.
With the summer approaching, PSG have now seemingly made it clear that they want to sell the German, making it their ‘prime objective’.
That is expected to spur Arsenal on to make an official offer, with the player currently valued at £21.6m-rated (as per Transfermarkt).
Draxler has had some impressive past achievements but he has struggled to make an impact this term for PSG. That being said, with the attacking options available at the French side like Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, it was never going to be a prosperous season for the German in terms of consistent starts.
A move to Arsenal would be perfect for him to take the next step in his career and, if Arteta can get the best out of him, then he will have a fine attacking addition for 2020/21.
