Foot Mercato has reported that Arsenal are keen on the 23-year-old, who could be on his way out of Lyon this summer, but only if Alexandre Lacazette leaves the club.
Several clubs are interested in the former Celtic forward including Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, while Atletico, Juventus and Inter Milan are also keen on Lacazette, so it would be interesting to see if there could be a transfer merry-go-round triggered.
Dembele has 22 goals in 42 games for Lyon in the 2019/20 season, whilst managing on average 2.1 shots per game, thus marking him out as a very potent striker who often gets into positions where he can do damage.
He is also six years younger than Lacazette, so Arsenal could make the decision to sell their current forward to build more towards the future. Mikel Arteta has highlighted that he enjoys working with youth as Bukayo Saka, Joe Willock, Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Martinelli have all been involved regularly under the current Gunners manager.
Dembele has a market value of around £36m as per Transfermarkt, and with Lacazette valued at £43.2 million by Transfermarkt, Arsenal could get themselves a younger finisher with a fine scoring record for less than the transfer fee they may recoup from selling the 29-year-old.
