There is a lot of speculation around the future of Lucas Torreira at Arsenal, and the new rumour suggests that AC Milan are not the only Serie A side interested in him.
But due to the current financial struggles the football world has due to recent events, the Italian side are hoping that they can tempt the Gunners to allowing Torreira to go in a swap-deal with Amadou Diawara.
Torreira played 39 times for Arsenal last season across all competitions, picking up two goals and one assist. He has been good at breaking up play in the Premier League as he has averaged 1.1 successful tackles and 1.2 interceptions per game, via WhoScored.
Meanwhile, Diawara has played 31 times in all competitions, averaging 1.8 tackles and 1.5 interceptions a game, via WhoScored, which highlights that he has been better in this department than the Gunners ace.
It is an interesting deal, but if Diawara is available on less wages than the Uruguayan then this could be a good deal, as it would free up some much-needed finances and give the club a better squad player.
