# Arsenal: Gunners could struggle against Sheffield United, predicts Michael Owen

**Former England striker Michael Owen thinks Sheffield United have what it takes to earn a point against Arsenal when the two teams meet on Monday night.**

The Premier League’s return sees Unai Emery’s side visit Bramall Lane with the Gunners in [third place](https://www.skysports.com/premier-league-table), though ex-Liverpool forward Owen believes they may have to settle for a draw against Chris Wilder’s team.

The newly-promoted Blades have proved a tough nut to crack upon their return to the top flight, having recorded some impressive [results](https://uk.soccerway.com/teams/england/sheffield-united-fc/687/matches/) so far, which include taking a point off Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and beating Everton away from home.

With just seven goals [conceded](https://www.skysports.com/premier-league-table), they have one of the league’s tightest defences – and Owen thinks the Gunners may find it difficult under the lights on Monday evening.

He said (via the [Daily Express](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1191283/Michael-Owen-Arsenal-Sheffield-United)): “Sheffield United have failed to score in their last three games in all competitions but they were arguably unlucky not to pick up a point against Liverpool in their last home game.

“Arsenal have only conceded once in their last four games in all competitions, but I would not be surprised if the Gunners had to settle for a point at Bramall Lane on Monday.

“Chris Wilder’s side have not lost by more than one goal in the league so far this campaign and I think they will get a draw against the Gunners.”

To be fair to Owen, given Arsenal’s [away record](https://uk.soccerway.com/teams/england/arsenal-fc/660/matches/) in the Premier League (winning just five in the past year), falling short against Sheffield United may not be a total surprise.

However, Sheffield United’s home form is arguably just as questionable, with all three of their [defeats](https://uk.soccerway.com/teams/england/sheffield-united-fc/687/matches/) this season coming at Bramall Lane – so perhaps something will have to give.

But with Arsenal [unbeaten](https://uk.soccerway.com/teams/england/arsenal-fc/660/matches/) in eight and having scored in every game this season, there seems no reason for the Gunners to fear their opponents as they look to maintain a place in the Premier League’s top three.
